Ron quickly realized how much he missed the freedom of a car, especially now that he bikes to the train, rides on the train with his bike (there are entire train cars for this), and then bikes the rest of the way to work - and back every day...anyone who knows Ron well knows he just hates to bike and this routine is killing him.
We were too busy moving in to really make good use of the car except to stock our pantry and run out locally a couple times. I had my first driving lessons with the stick transmission and I'm not looking forward to learning to drive again once we get our long term car. Amazingly enough, automatic transmissions are like double the cost. It's crazy.
We did go for a little drive with the kids to the beach area nearby - here are some photos.
A couple things:
- Do you like Raegan's poses? I don't know exactly when she started doing this but I guess it's better than her strained smile phase that was extremely unflattering...
- It is legal to publicly drink wherever in Denmark, hence Ron's beer. I have noticed there is a small group of old men who even sit at the roundabout bus stop by our house on Fridays and drink beer. It is still strange to me, but it has only been a couple weeks... I am sure they do this because a beer out at a bar or restaurant is 50 kroner or close to $10 minimum.
We also went downtown to the pedestrian walking area for a stroll and lunch.
