Preparing to leave for Copenhagen!

The weeks before we left were filled with endless errands trying to be as prepared as possible for the big move. The change in climate and lifestyle were on the top of our list to plan for! We've only lived in Texas so we had a lot of warm weather clothes to stock up on. We also got advice to load up our container with items we will miss from America like gum, peanut butter, granola bars, fruit snacks, macaroni and cheese, etc.

Here are the kids trying on some of their new cold weather gear. The loved playing in their snowboots. Too bad the movers ended up packing Wyatt's before I could pull them out of his closet. Those movers are fast, you pretty much need to be in all rooms they are working in at once to ensure they don't pack up anything you wanted. For example, I asked them to leave the TV so we could have it one more night. They said Sure. I left the room and when I came back only the TV remained, no couch, chair or even rug. <sigh>

In Denmark we plan to ride our bikes a lot like the Danes, so we practiced every day. Wyatt doesn't have a real bike yet but he sure found it fun to climb on his sister's bike. We even had fenders put on all our bikes like the Danes. Stylin!

We spent as much time as possible soaking up the sun and warm weather in Austin knowing we're heading off to real winter in Denmark.

They both got their first "real" haircuts at a salon.

But at last the movers arrive and load up the container and it's time to say goodbye to Austin and our family and friends in Texas for a couple years...
